What does it mean if the whites of your eyes are not white? My friend is an alcoholic, and the whites of his eyes are more of a yellow color rather than white at all. Just researching it because I've become conserned.
Yellow sclerae which should be white, taken with the fact that your friend is a heavy drinker, would lead one to assume pre-hepatic jaundice is the culprit. It's liver damage, plain and simple. Tell him to quit drinking unless he wants to be on a long waiting list for a new liver in a few years. And no one wants to donate livers to drunks, the same way no one wants to give a heavy smoker new lungs for them to screw up.
yellow eyes are usually a sign of jaundice,a problem with the liver ditays
hahah it means your liver is SHOT, which isnt surprising for an alcoholic
It might mean liver damage.
jeebus! sounds like his liver is in the ****ter! I'm nat fer shure on dat, but lewk up jaundice.
